I have even gone to the DigitalPersona website but found nothing. Microsoft would disable this update before launch a fixed one, since this is causing many issues.

Even after reinstalling it all it still won’t recognize.
I even tried removing and finding again the device from device manager and all went well, but DigitalPersona Personal kept saying that fingerprint reader isn’t connected.

Tuesday, October 7, I have the excact same problem, but none of the topics from the link are relevant in my opinion. The same thing happened after and before installing SP1 for Vista.
